gem安装mysql不工作。但是我'；我可以连接到mysql-u根-p

我使用的是基于ubuntu的回溯操作系统。我已经安装了mysql，我可以停止、启动、连接到mysql

mysql -u root -p 

工作正常，能够创建数据库，并且能够在/var/lib/mysql中查看数据
